The Vu+ DUO was one of the first Linux-based twin HD receivers in the VuPlus series and set standards in terms of performance and expandability. With its 400 MHz MIPS processor and 512 MB of DDR2 memory, the DUO offers a solid foundation for fast operation and smooth menu navigation. Thanks to the open Enigma2 platform, the system is flexible, stable, and customizable.

 

Extensive connectivity options

The Vu+ DUO features a wide range of interfaces for modern home cinema use. In addition to two Common Interface slots and two smartcard readers, the receiver offers USB ports, eSATA for external hard drives, and HDMI for crystal-clear picture quality. The SPDIF output enables digital audio transmission to surround sound systems, while SCART and RCA connectors ensure compatibility with older devices.

 

Features and extensions

The DUO supports EPG, HbbTV, DiSEqC 1.0/1.1/1.2, USALS, and PVR recording via internal or external hard drives. Thanks to its Linux operating system, numerous plugins can be installed – for example, for streaming, network access, or media player functions. This makes the Vu+ DUO a versatile solution even today for users who value flexibility and a wide range of features.
