The VU+ DUO 4K SE is a Linux-based UHD receiver with a quad-core ARM processor, 3 GB of RAM, and eMMC flash storage. It offers HDMI 2.0 output and input, Gigabit LAN, dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz / 5 GHz), and integrated Bluetooth 4.1. Two modular slots for full-band capture (FBC) tuners allow for simultaneous reception and recording of multiple channels – ideal for satellite or cable operation. A 2.5" SATA hard drive (max. height 15 mm) is available for recording, complemented by two USB 3.0 ports and one USB 2.0 port.

 

Operation & Application

 

Thanks to its very short switching times, the device impresses with smooth operation. However, stable network and storage conditions are recommended for streaming or recording scenarios. The integrated 3.5" color LCD display clearly shows the Mini-TV program and device status. Numerous community plugins allow for further expansion – ideal for power users who want to utilize features beyond standard reception.
