Compact 4K receiver for the highest demands

 

The VU+ UNO 4K SE is powered by an ARM dual-core processor with 2 × 1700 MHz. It features 4 GB of flash storage (eMMC) and 2 GB of DDR RAM. For networking, it offers Gigabit LAN and USB 3.0 ports. The device supports HEVC/H.265 and delivers UHD (2160p) and HDR10/HLG playback. The front panel includes a 2.4″ TFT LCD for displaying program information ("MiniTV") and a touch switch for power. An HDMI 2.0 output and an HDMI 2.0 input are integrated – the latter allowing, for example, the connection of external devices.

 

Reception, Storage & Expansion

The receiver is designed for use with a pluggable FBC (Full Band Capture) tuner – optionally for DVB-S2/S2X or DVB-C – with up to eight demodulators. An internal 2.5″ SATA hard drive (up to 10.5 mm high) can be installed via a plug-and-play removable frame – ideal for use as a PVR (recording/time-shift function). Additionally, a CI slot, smart card reader, optical S/PDIF audio output, and RS232 service interface are available.

 

Software & Operation

The device runs on Linux (Enigma2-based) and allows for plugin extensions, skin customization, HbbTV, and WebKit browser functionality. Users report very fast channel switching, stable performance, and good picture quality with UHD and HDR. Limitations: Some streaming services are not integrated by default, and there is only one CI slot. Operation and menu navigation are considered solid; the device is equally suitable for beginners and experienced users who value flexibility.
